Source policy

Primary sources include governments, regulators, standards bodies, official documentation, original research and repositories. Independent corroboration must come from a separate registrable source family; another subdomain is insufficient and the source cannot merely repeat the same underlying origin.

Official-source briefs are a separate labelled category summarizing Statistics Canada Daily releases, with attribution and no claim of independent journalistic corroboration. Factual checks, bilingual review, rights checks and a separate machine audit still apply.
